Automatic double arm blood pressure monitor

, 26 August 2020/in Product News /by 3wmedia

Double arm blood pressure monitoring can provide accurate results when the blood pressure of both arms is simultaneously measured at the same height and same pressurization. The manual type blood pressure monitor may show pressure difference depending on the winding strength of the cuff or location when applying the cuff. In order to minimize the error from this pressure difference, the EX PLUS 1300 automatic double arm blood pressure monitor measures blood pressure at the same height and at the same cuff pressurization. Moreover, the embedded sensor in the cuff enables the user to measure the blood pressure of each arm separately. For instance, when the user wants to measure only the left arm, it gives the pressure only to the left arm. In addition, EX PLUS 1300 delivers pressure very gently to the user’s arm during measurement so that most users including patients with hypertension can do this painlessly. There’s a START/STOP button on the main body and another one on the foot board and hand switch, allowing the user to select the switch depending on preference. When the user measures blood pressure, the results from the measured arm is automatically displayed on the LCD. When the blood pressure of both arms is measured, the inter-arm pressure difference is automatically displayed on LCD. WHO recommends that the patient should consult with a doctor when the difference between the two arms is more than 20mmHg for systolic blood pressure or l0mmHg for diastolic blood pressure. The patient within the range mentioned above may be at risk for cardiovascular disease. Based on this recommendation, Jawon Medical has developed the world’s first automatic double arm blood pressure monitor.

Disposable EEG electrode set

, 26 August 2020/in Product News /by 3wmedia

Brainstatus is a new type of EEG electrode set providing a solution to the diagnostic problems in field use and emergency room applications. The EEG electrode set is disposable and, unlike traditional headbands, it is placed on the hairless areas of the patient’s head, which makes proper placement easier and faster.  Because of these advantages, it is particularly well-suited for use in emergency care, in ambulances and even in field conditions. Thanks to the material of the electrode set, there is no need to remove it for MRI and CT scans. With an additional adapter cable, the BrainStatus electrode set can be connected to most EEG systems found in the market.

Silent Magnetic Resonance scan

, 26 August 2020/in Product News /by 3wmedia

Conventional MR scanners can generate noise in excess of 110 dBA (decibels) levels, roughly equivalent to rock concerts and requires ear protection. GE’s exclusive Silent Scan technology is designed to reduce MR scanner noise to near ambient (background) sound levels and thus can improve a patient’s MR exam experience. Historically, acoustic noise mitigation techniques have focused on insulating components and muffling sound as opposed to treating the noise at the source. With Silent Scan, acoustic noise is essentially eliminated by employing a new advanced 3D acquisition and reconstruction technique called Silenz, in combination with GE Healthcare’s proprietary design of the high-fidelity MR gradient and RF system electronics. Silent Scan is designed to eliminate the noise at its source.

Ambulatory EEG, EMG and ECG recording device

, 26 August 2020/in Product News /by 3wmedia

The new Mobita, a 32 channel wireless and wearable electrophysiological amplifier, can measure up to 32 channels of EEG or up to 16 channels of EMG. The system can send the measured signals directly to a PC via Wi-Fi or save it on the on-board memory. With its integrated 3D-accelerometer the Mobita also records the movement of the subject together with for example an EEG. The Conficap-design allows for quick switching between different electrode-configurations, thus enabling easy changeover from EEG to EMG-measurement. Special technology and electrode cables eliminate mains interference or cable movement artifacts. No hardware filters are included, so it is also possible to measure EEG, EMG and ECG simultaneously.
