The new AutoSense blood glucose monitoring system offers easy and hygienic operation, accurate results and the broadest features available on any meters. It requires no manual coding which makes testing easier and faster and eliminates errors associated with miscoded meters. AST (Alternative Site Testing) function provides the possibility to collect blood sample from other sites than the fingertips (palms, forearms, upper-arms) for less pain. The test strip is simply inserted and the meter automatically turns on. After applying a tiny drop of blood to the test strip, accurate results can be read on the large LCD display in just 5 seconds. Results can be displayed either in mg/dl or mmol/l. Used strips can be discarded easily by the strip ejector button in order to avoid blood contact. The talking function of AutoSense Voice makes the meter very easy to use even for visually impaired people. Clear and simple sentences told in human voice will lead users through the testing steps and let them hear test results. AutoSense has the capability of storing the last 500 test results with date and time and it is also able to calculate 7, 14, 30, 60, 90 day average values. Using the LiteLink device all results can be downloaded to PC through the IR interface of the meter and blood glucose level can be tracked in the free Diatransfer diabetes management software.
