Small Format wireless DRX detector
The Carestream DRX 2530C detector offers high resolution, low dose X-ray exams for pediatric, orthopedic and general radiology applications. The 25 cm x 30 cm detector recently received FDA clearance. Not only does it fit into an incubator tray, it can offer better patient care by providing exceptionally high-quality images at a low dose for premature babies and infants in the pediatric ICU. The cesium iodide detector offers high DQE (detective quantum efficiency) and lower X-ray exposure than CR cassettes or gadolinium scintillator detectors. The new detector’s small size and light weight is also ideal for orthopedic and general radiography exams. Like Carestream’s DRX-1 and DRX-1C detectors, the new DRX 2530C detector can be used with any member of the DRX family of in-room and mobile imaging systems. The company also offers advanced image processing software that can enhance image quality for pediatric patients. The software delivers optimized image processing and exposure techniques for seven different pediatric weight/age categories to satisfy FDA guidelines for pediatric exams.
