Owen Mumford receives RoSPA gold award for health and safety achievements

Owen Mumford has been awarded a RoSPA (Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents) gold health and safety award. The awarded is given to organisations that achieve exceptional control of risk with very low levels of error, harm and loss.

This is the second consecutive year that the UK division of Owen Mumford, a global leader in the design, manufacture and advancement of medical devices, has received this award.

Jarl Severn, CEO at Owen Mumford said: “Safety is of utmost importance in the design of our products, but also in the way we run our business every day. We appreciate being recognised for maintaining the high standards required to win RoSPA’s gold award for a second year, especially in light of the new health and safety challenges posed by the pandemic. We have continued to supply essential medical devices to our customers and their patients while keeping our staff as safe as possible across all our sites. The company has a culture of ongoing improvement and we will continue to raise the bar in this area.”

Julia Small, RoSPA’s Achievements Director, said: “The RoSPA Awards scheme is the longest-running of its kind in the UK, but it receives entries from organisations across the globe, making it one of the most sought-after achievement awards for health and safety worldwide.”
