Canon Medical Systems USA has unveiled an expanded suite of artificial intelligence-driven solutions for computed tomography (CT) workflow automation. The new integrated tools, including Vina Analytics and Remote Assist capabilities, aim to streamline clinical protocols and enhance operational efficiency across healthcare imaging departments.

The centrepiece of Canon’s automation strategy, Vina Analytics, delivers comprehensive protocol management functionality for CT scanners. This web-based system enables centralised access to imaging protocols whilst maintaining version control and preventing unauthorised modifications. The platform’s analytics capabilities facilitate evaluation of dose metrics and utilisation patterns, supporting evidence-based protocol optimisation.
Enhanced operational workflow
Canon’s INSTINX AI-assisted interface introduces automated scanner workflows and positioning guidance. The system’s standardised approach reduces operational variability, particularly beneficial in time-critical diagnostic scenarios. Integration with the Remote Assist platform enables real-time access to CT, molecular imaging (MI), and magnetic resonance (MR) consoles, facilitating remote protocol adjustments and training support.
Advanced visualisation capabilities
The Vitrea Advanced Visualisation platform provides multimodality analysis capabilities across 2D, 3D, and 4D imaging datasets. This vendor-neutral solution consolidates radiology IT infrastructure, offering enterprise-wide accessibility and standardisation of imaging workflows.
