Trade show participation and major projects boost business

JVCKENWOOD looks back on a successful and eventful 2022. “It was eventful because, with the International Medical Imaging Exhibition (ITEM) in Japan and the European Congress of Radiology in Vienna, two very important trade fairs for us were held live on site again for the first time after the corona pandemic. And it was successful because we were able to win some major projects, for example in Spain and the Czech Republic,” says Marcel Herrmann, Marketing Manager Medical Imaging at JVCKENWOOD, looking back with satisfaction. 2023 already started promisingly with an appearance at Arab Health and the fifth anniversary of the i3 series.

At the trade shows, the CL-S1200 attracted the most attention, a 30.9-inch color monitor with 12 megapixels for reporting medical images of various modalities such as CT, CR/DR, MR, ultrasound or mammography. The arrangement of the windows can be freely selected, and the large screen without a center bar creates a comfortable environment for radiological diagnostics. “With its maximum brightness of 1200 cd/m² and a contrast ratio of 1500:1, it is also suitable for mammography,” says Herrmann.

Evolution in monitor technology

Five years ago, JVCKENWOOD redesigned its monitors from the ground up and launched the i3 series. With the new housing design, the displays were significantly narrower than in the previous generation. “In the meantime, we have gradually raised all monitors to the i3 level and further developed the devices not only visually but also technologically,” says Herrmann. The new 3D lookup table, for example, enables the best possible color calibration with a uniform image impression on every monitor in the entire facility.

Quality assurance for the i3 monitor is provided by the proven QA Medivisor Agent. This enables customers to perform acceptance and constancy testing in accordance with DIN 6868-157 in a reliable manner.

Province of Asturias equipped with color and grayscale displays

The Health Service of the Principality of Asturias (Servicio de Salud del Principado de Asturias, SESPA) is responsible for 13 hospitals with a total of 3,300 beds and 78 health centers. “For these facilities, we have supplied a total of 403 monitors with a total volume of almost 500,000 euros,” says Marcel Herrmann, not without pride. Specifically, these are 129 MS-S300 grayscale displays with a resolution of three megapixels and 26 5-megapixel grayscale displays for diagnostic imaging of direct radiography, CT and MR, as well as 242 CL-S300 3-megapixel color displays for diagnostic applications and six CL-S500 multimodality displays for mammography.
