The Aero Digital Radiography (DR) provides a reliable digital workflow, which is fast, flexible and intelligent. The system, which is not intended for mammography, measures 14 x 17 inches (36 x 43 cms), and is a portable flat panel detector based on amorphous silicon (s-Si). It has a scintillator of Cesium Iodide (Csl) and the external detector is equivalent to a standard cassette of 14 x 17 inches. Weighing 2.9 kgs. (6.3lbs), with a matching image field size to the external detector, it has a three-second image preview and a quadruple digit dynamic range. The battery operating time is two hours at 60 images p\/h and the charging time is 30 minutes. The user interface is touch screen and the DR imaging functions provide for HIS\/ RIS patient data access via DICOM Modality Worklist, advanced image processing, image review, and image transmission.
